Join the #AfghanEvac Coalition
#AfghanEvac is a self-organized coalition of more than 200 groups and organizations, composed of veterans, current and former members of the national security space, members of human rights-focused non-profits, Hill staffers, private sector employees, and others who evacuated Americans and Afghan allies from Afghanistan. Together, the coalition has been facilitating connections, sharing information and deconflicting activities to unlock solutions with the unified objective to save as many lives as possible.

This form is not for individuals or groups seeking evacuation.

Applications for new organizations are being accepted and reviewed on a case-by-case basis, but coalition membership is generally closed. The main goals are deconfliction, decluttering, and consolidation of work to ensure that we are maximizing the positive impact of our efforts.

We unite under a shared set of commitments
- Groups in our coalition share with appropriate government partners the data we've gathered pertaining to people on the ground in Afghanistan in need of assistance
- Groups in our coalition endeavor to be trusted partners, always acting ethically and within the bounds of the law
- Groups in our coalition are not using inappropriately, or causing the appearance thereof, US government equipment or assets
- Groups in our coalition do not misrepresent themselves to be working on behalf of the US government
- Groups in our coalition do not share the inner workings of our meetings with the press or on social media
- Groups in our coalition do not send people outside of Afghanistan without a legal, State department informed plan in mind for their ultimate disposition

People in our coalition:
- Prioritize Afghans not egos, there is no time or space for folks who are on a vanity mission.
- Treat one another with dignity and respect at all times and in both public and private conversations.
- Assume positive intent, not everyone has the same level of experience or approach to crisis.
- Act ethically and within the bounds of the law, doing otherwise could jeopardize the future for someone we are trying to help.
- Share information that may help other groups but do not spread rumors and misinformation.
- Critique ideas rather than people.
